Introduction and Disclaimer
Agreement to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions is deemed to occur upon your first use of Surrey Information Point. If you do not agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, you should stop using the Surrey Information Point immediately.
Surrey County Council owns and operates the directory Surrey Information Point and is referred to in parts of the contractual documentation as ‘the Authority’.
Surrey Information Point will provide a single online location at which visitors can search for
care and support services available in the county of Surrey, register on the Surrey Information Point, provide feedback on the services they have used and utilise other functions within Surrey Information Point as they are made available.
Surrey Information Point will provide a single online location where Service Providers can request registration to market their services to the public.
Surrey County Council reserves the right to change the terms and conditions by posting the changes online. Your continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of this agreement as modified.
Access to some parts of the Surrey Information Point directory or the entire directory, may be denied or restricted from time to time. Surrey County Council is entitled to withdraw or amend the services provided on Surrey Information Point without notice.
Whilst Surrey County Council will use reasonable endeavours to provide uninterrupted availability Surrey County Council will not be liable if Surrey Information Point, or any part of it, is unavailable at any time or for any period. Should Surrey County Council
receive any complaint with regard to third party material on Surrey Information Point, we will review the matter and remove material at our sole discretion. Surrey County Council will have no further liability to either party in such instance.
Surrey County Council are not responsible for the contents or the reliability of third-party websites linked to or from Surrey Information Point, and do not necessarily endorse any views expressed within them.
While we make every effort to check and test material at all stages of production, it is recommended for you to run an anti-virus program on all material downloaded from the Internet. We cannot accept any responsibility for any loss, disruption or damage
to your data or computer system which may occur whilst using material derived from Surrey Information Point.

Registered Service Providers Commitment
To adhere to the Service Provider registration requirements and ensure your services clearly display which category it meets the mandatory requirements to using the Additional details field.
To be compliant with Trading Standards Regulations in relation to the nature of your business/service provision.
To provide a quality service with strong, visible, open, accountable and respectful working practices
To strive to meet users desired outcomes in a flexible, personalised and effective manner whilst ensuring safety at all times.
To respond to complaints in a timely manner addressing the issues raised and seeking a resolution that is both satisfactory to the user and the service provider.
Adding an entry
Surrey Information Point reserves full discretion as to which organisations will be listed in the directory and is under no obligation to list any organisation.
The main aim of the website is to provide information and advice to help adults in Surrey to live independently.
To be listed, an organisation must:
- support the aim of the website
- offer services or information to Surrey residents
Priority will be given to local services and community organisations. Surrey Information Point is not intended to replace other sources of information about local businesses. Entries from ethical, legal businesses will be considered if they support the aim
of the Website and support 'social capital', meaning that they offer services that contribute directly to the quality of people's lives, empowering them to live independently and healthily, for example helping to connect people with social networks.
Surrey Information Point reserves the right to remove any organisation listing at its discretion. Listings may be removed if, for example, the organisation fails to respond to a request for updated information, or the listing no longer fits with the scope
or purpose of the Website.
Information you supply using any electronic form(s) on this website will only be used for the purpose(s) stated on the form.
Information you provide in emails to us will only be used for the purpose (which we reasonably believe) that you give it to us for.
Information you provide us with may be used for statistical research but will not be used in any way (beyond its original purpose) that enables you to be identified.
