Supporting Vulnerable People

There are actions we can take as a community to help those around us. If you’re part of a community group or have a neighbour or relative who may need extra support, you could help by sharing information and offering support where needed. Support services in Surrey for vulnerable people:
- Vulnerable people can sign up to a priority register for your gas, electricity and water to receive extra support should there be an outage. To sign up, contact your utility providers.
- Get a Lions Club ‘Message in a Bottle’ to enable you to store your personal and medical details in one place. Bottles are free of charge and can usually be found in your local chemist or GP surgery or by contacting your local Lions Club. - Get a free Safe & Well Visit from Surrey Fire & Rescue Service. Book one by phoning 0800 085 0767, texting 07860 053 465 or via www.surreycc.gov.uk/firesafeandwellvisit
- Fill out the Surrey Prepared ICE document to ensure you’ve all the key numbers and details handy should an emergency strike.
