Mid-Surrey Mencap is a local charity for people with Learning Disabilities their families and carers. We cover the boroughs of Epsom and Ewell, Mole Valley and Banstead in Surrey. We have been providing services for people since 1958. We are affiliated to National Mencap but we do our own fundraising.
Sutton Mencap is a registered charity which supports local people with a learning disability. We were set up by parent and carers of children with a learning disability in the 1950's and to begin with the charity was run entirely by volunteers who ran holiday clubs and carried out local campaigning and awareness raising.
Employment and Volunteering
We’re here to improve the lives of people with a learning disability and their families now and fight alongside them for a better future. We team up with our network of over 400 local groups to reach people across England, Northern Ireland, and Wales. The services we provide range from round-the-clock care to helping someone join in with local leisure activities, providing advice and information on things like employment and education, helping someone to live independently for the first time.

Christ Church, Virginia Water
Christ Church in Virginia Water, Surrey have several men's groups taking part in various activities, tackling life together and supporting one another.
Our Men's Club meets on the first Friday of every month between 12.00 and 2.00pm at The Day Centre in Banstead. This club is aimed specifically at our male clients who would like to get together with other men in a similar position to themselves and enjoy various activities, a glass of beer and a light lunch.
UK Men's Sheds Association
Men's Sheds are community spaces for men to connect, converse and create. The activities are often similar to those of garden sheds, but for groups of men to enjoy together. The Merstham Men's Shed is operated by Age Concern Merstham, Redhill and Reigate.
