Abbeyfield Southern Oaks is proud to welcome you to Nonsuch Abbeyfield, a supportive, vibrant and like-minded Independent Living with Care Retirement community, very convenient to Ewell Village and with active, independent living at its heart and we are now recruiting local volunteers to help build and sustain a friendly welcoming community.

At Nonsuch Abbeyfield we have designed contemporary, elegant and well-designed living and communal spaces that will allow you to embrace a retirement lifestyle that suits you – many of the apartments overlook the green spaces of the adjacent sports grounds, run by Epsom Sports Club, and the Hogsmill Open Space beyond. But that’s not all. We also understand that you may need assistance or care in the years to come, and experienced carers will be available when needed.

Abbeyfield Southern Oaks also provides supported sheltered housing for ten active older people in The Old House, a comfortable Grade 2 listed house in Ewell Village.

Each resident has keys to their own room and the front door.  Residents furnish their rooms with their own possessions and have a toilet and a wash hand basin; seven of the rooms also have an ensuite shower. Rent (Social Landlord) from £1,550 per calendar month (April 2021) includes all meals, utility bills, council tax, 24 hour call button and basic contents insurance. Extra cost: Landline telephone and TV Licence. 

The house has a communal lounge, two communal bathrooms, laundry facilities, a lift, onsite parking plus an attractive garden on two sides of the house. Residents have usually lived locally or have local connections and need to be reasonably mobile plus be able to manage their own medication and personal care. Abbeyfield Southern Oaks also owns and manages two supported sheltered houses in the London Borough of Sutton and one in the London Borough of Croydon.
