Camberley Open Mind Club

Description

Camberley District Open Mind Association runs a day centre called the Open Mind Club which provides support to people with mental health issues.

It meets at St Mary’s Church, Park Road, Camberley on Tuesdays and Thursdays 10.00am-12.00pm and Fridays 10.00am-1.00pm. Transport may be available locally to those who need it. This runs mainly from Camberley or Farnborough. There is a charge for this.

There is a small charge which covers refreshments and an optional lunch is available on Fridays also for small charge.

Members are encouraged to take part in activities, but this is optional. The ones which are popular at the moment are the board game “Rummicub”, “Scrabble”, discussions, drawing, colouring, card making and music sessions. Some people go for walks round the local park. Occasionally we do origami or play readings amongst other activities.

Usually there is someone available to listen if a member needs to talk. We also help members with forms etc. when needed.

Occasional outings are arranged and there is a Christmas party.
