Halow Project

The Halow Project supports young adults (aged 16+) with a learning disability in and around Surrey.

We are committed to developing creative opportunities and removing social barriers for our young people and currently support over 170 young people with a learning disability.

Halow offers a unique blend of activities, giving our young people the chance to enjoy an active social life, make new friends, find further education and employment training through our various initiatives; Building Futures, Social Activities, A Reason To Get Up and the Halow Buddy Service.

Building Futures

This is a highly regarded, unique and highly person-centred further learning programme. We seek to nurture the independence, enrich the lives, continue the education, and build the futures of our young people. In our small group environment, we can focus on each individual young person’s goals and development as they grow through the year, whilst all benefit from the group dynamic and community-based setting. Running for 4 days per week, and with pathways from Adult Social Care and SEND (maintaining EHCPs).

A Reason To Get Up

ARTGU sessions provide a whole programme of sessional opportunities to make the most of young people’s interests; it supports them in learning new important life skills that can help them to find a satisfying vocation. We offer weekly sessions of different activities focused around fitness, technology, art and craft as well as horticulture and cooking – all within safe, fun and friendly environments.
